Thank you to everyone who worked last week and to those scheduled this week.
As we approach the high school season, if you receive a high school assignment on a day when you are scheduled for a middle school game with us, we will release you from the middle school assignment, no questions asked. We always want to promote growth within our organization, and we will work with you when higher-level opportunities arise. That said, do not delay notifying us. Once you know, we need to know.
We had a few late arrivals this past week. We understand that traffic and work can affect travel, but failing to notify us is not acceptable. As our weekend club officials already know, arriving late without immediate communication results in a reduced game check. The same principle applies here:once you know, we need to know.
If you get in your car and your GPS shows an arrival of 4:33 for a 4:30 tipoff, your first step, before putting the car in drive, should be to notify us. The more time we have to adjust, the better the outcome for everyone. Officials are not permitted to walk into games late without prior notice. Operating that way will result in a reduced game fee and, if it becomes a pattern, removal from future assignments. We have plenty of officials who want to work and who handle their business professionally. Don’t miss out on opportunities due to poor communication or professionalism.
