Dunking – is only allowed during live game action. It is not allowed during warm-up, halftime or any time the game is not being actively played. Coaches and administrators are responsible for the enforcement of this NFHS rule when the officials have not arrived on the court. Officials are responsible for this rule once they are on the court.

NFHS Apparel/Equipment Specifications
- Jersey numbers can no longer be the same color as the jersey, even with a contrasting border.
- A school logo or mascot can be placed above the jersey number on the front of the jersey.
- No undershirt must be worn but if an undershirt is worn it should match the jersey. Players can wear black or a solid color similar to the jersey torso under visiting team jerseys. All teammates must wear the same solid color.
- Sleeves, tights, and compression shorts must be the same solid color as the headband or wristband, and must be black, white, beige, or the jersey’s predominant color. All teammates must wear the same solid color.
- Headbands must be circular, nonabrasive, and unadorned, and can be up to 3 inches wide. Only one headband is permitted per player, and it must be worn on the forehead.
- Wristbands must be moisture-absorbing, non abrasive, and unadorned, and can be up to 4 inches wide. Only one wristband is permitted per player, and it must be worn on the arm below the elbow.
- Gray away jerseys must be at least 70% shading to contrast with white.
- Electronic devices can’t be used to record or track stats, review plays, or diagram plays during a game. Voice and video recording devices are not permitted.
All-Conference/State Awards –
- All-State – 1st and 2nd Team for MHL go to CHSAA for All-State (not honorable mention)
- 1st Team – 10 (patch, certificate)
- 2nd Team – 10 (certificate)
- Honorable Mention – 20 (certificate)
Post-Season Coaches Meeting
- Coaches Zoom meeting on Monday, March 2 at 6:30p to vote on our All-Conference teams
- Prior to the meeting – nominate for All-Conference and Player of the Year
- The # of nominations allowed per team is based on league finish
- League Champs – 5 nominations
- 2nd-4th place – 4 nominations
- 5th-8th place – 3 nominations
- 9th-13th place – 2 nominations
- 14th place – 1 nomination
- As you play your league teams, make a note of any athletes that you’re impressed with.
- Please keep in mind the following when nominating for all-conference teams:
- The All-Conference teams will be our top athletes based on skill regardless of grade.
- Bring some stats to discuss who is deserving
- If you have athletes that you’d like to recognize as honorable mention but not necessarily 1st or 2nd team, you will be able to submit their names. Please note that as we discuss the athletes.
