It is hard to believe that high school baseball is just around the corner! As such, the registration process is open. To be playoff eligible for the 2026 postseason, you must register by January 12 and keep in mind Arbiter runs on east coast time so by 10 pm Mountain time. We recommend you do not wait until the last minute to register. The registration will stay open throughout the season, but you will not be eligible for the postseason if you don’t register prior to January 12 at 10 pm. Also this season you will not be eligible for the draw if you are not registered by a certain date, and that date will be announced later. Please do not wait until the last minute to register!
If you have already registered, Thank You, and you can disregard most of this email. If you no longer are interested in umpiring high school baseball or have moved out of state, please let us know so we can remove you from the email database.

The CHSBUA registration fee for 2025-26 will remain at $50.
- Don’t forget, registering to umpire high school baseball is a 2-part registration process (CHSBUA Baseball and CHSAA Arbiter & Insurance)
- Upon completing the CHSBUA registration, there is a success message on the screen which contains two links:
- First link allows purchase of rule and case books if desired
- If books are purchased, there is a success message on the screen with a link to complete the CHSAA registration

The CCA Baseball Mechanics Manual is to be used. This needs to be confirmed prior to including it in the membership registration notice and will be updated here

1 – CHSBUA Registration & Dues Fee is due January 12th, 2025
· Postseason eligibility requirements include registering and payment, by this due date!
· Complete the following CHSBUA Registration (less than 10 minutes)
- This will be completed via the Arbiter. Follow this link:

- Answer all the questions to the payment page (use the blue “Next” button in top right) and pay
· Payment – CHSBUA is online only payment
o Pay online with a credit card after completing the registration process
o Upon completion of the CHSBUA registration

§ You will receive confirmation emails of successful registration and/or books purchase
2 – CHSAA registration for insurance and arbiter access fees is a separate process for all umpires
- Answer all the questions to the payment page (use the blue “Next” button in top right) and pay.
- Review personal and update addresses etc. as appropriate
· Insurance is $10 and paid one time a year at the time of your first sport officiated
· Arbiter access is $13.75 per sport
· Background check is $13 due every 3 years
o After completing the CHSAA registration, there is a success message displayed
