Aurora Sports Officials Announces Transformative Partnership with The Referee Suite Consortium for 2025–2026 Basketball Season
Aurora, CO – June 4, 2025:Aurora Sports Officials (ASO) is proud to announce a groundbreaking strategic partnership with The Referee Suite Consortium for the upcoming 2025–2026 basketball season. This alliance marks a bold step forward in ASO’s ongoing mission to elevate officiating standards, expand professional development, and foster a unified community of officials throughout Colorado. Founded on decades of commitment to excellence, ASO has long been a leader in promoting integrity, fairness, and consistency across all levels of high school athletics. Our guiding vision has always been clear: To build a stronger officiating community through mentorship, education, and collaboration—one assignment at a time. This new partnership with The Referee Suite Consortium reflects that vision in action.
A Shared Philosophy, A Stronger Future
This collaboration leverages the deep operational experience of ASO with the innovative infrastructure of The Referee Suite’s I.D.P. (Identification / Development / Promotion) Program—a comprehensive pipeline for identifying, training, and advancing basketball officials from entry-level leagues to varsity-level contests and beyond. Aurora Sports Officials will remain a central force in cultivating local officiating talent. Through this alliance, ASO will support developmental clinics, host training sessions, and provide direct access to high-quality assignments across multiple leagues, including the Jefferson County Athletic Conference, the Frontier Conference, and Denver Metro middle school basketball.
ASO founder and longtime assigner Gerald Letofsky shared his enthusiasm: “We have always believed that when officials are supported, mentored, and empowered—they thrive. This partnership brings fresh energy, new opportunities, and a shared commitment to excellence in every aspect of officiating.”
Building on Legacy, Growing with Purpose
For over three decades, Aurora Sports Officials has built a reputation grounded in trust, professionalism, and servant leadership. Their mission has never wavered:
- Uphold the Integrity of the Game: Provide impartial and professional officiating that preserves the spirit of competition and fair play.
- Empower Officials: Offer comprehensive training, resources, and support to our officials, fostering their growth and expertise.
- Promote Sportsmanship: Encourage respect, teamwork, and positive conduct among athletes, coaches, and fans.
- Innovate and Adapt: Embrace new technologies and methodologies to continually improve the quality and accuracy of officiating.
- Serve Our Communities: Engage with and contribute to the development of local sports programs, inspiring a love for sports and community involvement.
Together, we strive to create a sporting environment where every game is officiated with precision, passion, and professionalism. This new partnership allows ASO to expand its reach and amplify its impact while remaining deeply rooted in its foundational values. Through joint clinics, mentorship programs, and shared accountability systems, ASO and The Referee Suite will offer officials the tools they need to succeed—both on and off the court. Every official who joins this initiative will benefit from a unified leadership team, expanded access to feedback and film review, and the opportunity to work high-level contests that accelerate development and open doors to postseason opportunities.
Join Us: Elevate Your Season, Empower Your Future
Officials who are ready to take their next step are encouraged to attend The Referee Suite’s four-part clinic series, which will include on-court instruction, classroom teaching, rule review, and professional development networking. ASO is proud to support and promote these events as part of our broader mission to uplift officials and build lasting careers in officiating. “At ASO, we do more than assign games—we build futures. This partnership proves what is possible when two like-minded organizations come together with a shared purpose and a unified vision,” said Letofsky.
