All CFOA tests are posted on the CHSAA Main Central Hub, Arbiter Group 103372. Although some tests will be kept open all season for late recruiting, the general deadline for all testing is Midnight, Wed, Aug 23.
1- 2023 CFOA Mechanics Test – passing score is 85%
2- 2023 CFOA Veteran (Non-Playoff) and New Officials Rules Test – passing score is 85%
3- 2023 CFOA Playoff Officials Rules Test – passing score is 90%
Testing Requirements are as follows:
New officials: Must pass tests 1 and 2 before working any games.
Nonplayoff eligible veteran officials: Must pass tests 1 and 2 to maintain membership and varsity eligibility.
Playoff eligible veteran officials: Must pass tests 1 and 3 to qualify for post season games.
IMPORTANT
1. There are problems with the 2023 Rules Book regarding penalty enforcement and the NFHS has issued an announcement. The details will be provided soon and discussed at the Master Clinic. The impacted questions are marked “BEWARE OF THE CO MODIFIED RULE.”
2. Beware of “inadvertent clicking.” A glitch in Arbiter will change your selected answer to the nearest choice if you accidently click your mouse before going to the next question. Please check your responses carefully before submitting your test.
3. There are no trick questions. If something did not happen, it’s not stated in the question. Care has been taken to ensure clarity.
4. There is a typo in the Mechanics Test; “lest” should be “least.”
